New - Guide Shop

Through an arrangement with the local Guides, their District shop stocks uniform for Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. The shop is open on Wednesdays in term time from 5-7pm at St. Lukes Church, Stone Quarry (1st left past the hospital as you head out of town).

Pre-loved - District

From Anne Fletcher Explorer Scout Leader - As a mum and leader in the District I understand that sometimes uniform and basic equipment for scouting can be difficult to get hold of and expensive, especially if your child grows out of their uniform while still in the same section.
Therefore a trial second hand uniform shop will be available from January 2010. This will operate 7-8pm from the upstairs back room of the 1st East Grinstead Scout hall (opposite Moat Pond) on a Monday during term time. Stock initially will include Beaver and Cub jumpers, Scout, Explorer and leader shirts, Scout trousers and outdoor wear such as waterproofs and hiking boots.

Scarves

All members of the Scouting Movement wear scarves as part of their uniform, with different colours and logos to represent their Scout group. They are also used at camps to represent units, subcamps or the camp as a whole. Fun scarves are also used as memorabilia at Scout events and country scarves are often traded at international gatherings.
