Subscriptions

The subscriptions for the year September 2010 to August 2011 are:

There is a 5% discount for the second and subsequent child. These subscriptions pay for Head Quarters fees including insurance for your child whilst on Scouting activities, insurance and renewal of the equipment we own, leader training and for the day-to-day running of the Section programmes.
There is also a one off fee of £15.00 to cover the joining pack - this includes scarf, woggle, badges and group activity t-shirt.

We operate the HMRC Gift Aid scheme which allow us to reclaim the tax you have paid on the subscriptions where you have completed the mandate form, last year this resulted in a cheque for over £850 - that's lot's of Jumble Sales!

Helping

There is a parent rota operating in both the Beaver Colony and Cub Pack. In the Scout section there is no formal rota but parents are asked to help with transport to events or sharing their skills. If you enjoy helping and think that you would like to help more regularly, the Group is always looking for more Leaders and Helpers, giving a choice of regular or occasional commitment.

Please contact the Section Leader or the Group Scout Leader for more information. The more Leaders and Helpers we have the less work is placed on any individual and the more members we can have and the more activities we can do to get the “OUT” in Scouting.

CRB Forms

We ask every parent to complete an Occasional Helper Form which includes a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check when their child joins the Group. This forms part of our child protection policy and ensures that parents are fully covered by The Scout Association insurance policy.
